Issue/Introduction

A new report has been developed using the Clarity native reporting functionality. The need is to consume the report via channels on the pages workspace. Adding the puiFullscreen parameter will hide the left menu and enable a full-screen view, however not finding a toggle parameter that can hide the side menu and retain the filters for the report.

The available navigation toggle parameters for customizing the channels are the following and none of the influencing the behavior :

  • Header
    &puiHideHeader=on

  • Tab
    &puiHidePPMTabs=on

  • Fullscreen
    &puiFullscreen=on

Environment

Clarity 16.4.1

Resolution

This would be a limitation of consuming reports via channels (page blueprint). The primary purpose for channels is to interface or embed content from an external application like Classic PPM (set with Phoenix UI) or external applications. For the same purpose we have these available navigations with parameters for customizing the channel the following (Header , tab and Fullscreen).

Workaround:

  • Create separate report navigation menus ( Administration > system settings > navigation menu) with desired custom labels and icons and users can directly call the report in full screen with the filter menu preserved.
  • Recommendation to Use the MUX reporting > Report tile. If there is any user experience issues on the Report consumer tile then the same can be raised up as a product enhancement.
