Issue/Introduction

• An upgrade from VMware NSX 9.x to a higher version is initiated.
• A precheck warning stating the following is generated:
  
  Reminder: It is strongly discouraged to create deprecated logical objects from NSX Manager API (MP API starting in /api) as those are removed in NSX 9.0, implying these objects would have to be deleted before finishing the upgrade. • It is not possible to follow the instructions in Please perform Manager to Policy promotion error during upgrade to VCF 9 since the MP API does not exist in 9.x and the System > General Settings > Manager Objects Promotion page does not exist in 9.x

Cause

This precheck warning is generated on any VMware NSX 9.x and above upgrade. It can safely be acknowledged if the "from" version is already 9.x

Resolution

This precheck warning can safely be acknowledged.

Additional Information

When this precheck warning is generated during an upgrade of VMWare NSX 4.x to 9.x, it should be investigated via the steps documented at Please perform Manager to Policy promotion error during upgrade to VCF 9.
