Issue/Introduction

Regarding the number and capacity of datastores that can be added to an ESXi host.

Environment

ESXi 7.0, ESXi 8.0

Resolution

An ESXi host can manage up to 1,024 datastores, so you can add datastores up to this number to an ESXi host.
Also, for VMFS datastores, the maximum size per datastore is 64 TB.
For NFS datastores, the maximum size depends on the implementation of the NFS service provider, so please contact your storage vendor if necessary.
