Issue/Introduction

Log settings related to "amsd", such as "Syslog.loggers.amsd.rotate", are not displayed in the vSphere Client or Host Client.

Resolution

The 'amsd' service is specific to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) servers and will be installed on a per Host basis by use of VIB.  The appropriate VIBs are generally included with the vendor specific ESXi image.

Additional Information

Other similar Syslog services provided by HPE that can also be affected are 'amsdv', 'ilorest' and 'sut'.
