Issue/Introduction

  • When attempting to configure the SFTP server in VCF Operations under Fleet Management → Lifecycle → Settings → Backup & Restore → SFTP Settings, the configuration task fails with the following error message:

    Error Code: LCMVMSP10035
    Synthetic checker on the application platform failed.
    Synthetic check failed. Please refer to Broadcom Knowledge Base Article https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/389510 for remediation details.,"platform-vmsp-platform-backup : failed to read directory: file does not exist"

Cause

This issue occurs when an incorrect SFTP backup directory path or folder name is provided during the SFTP server configuration. The system is unable to locate the specified directory, which results in the validation and configuration failure.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Verify the SFTP backup directory path or folder name configured in the SFTP server.

  2. Update the configuration in VCF Operations → Fleet Management → Lifecycle → Settings → Backup & Restore → SFTP Settings with the correct directory path.

  3. Re-run the configuration task and confirm that it completes successfully without errors.
