Unable to unmount ISO images from virtual machines

Issue/Introduction

When trying to unmount ISO images from a virtual machine in Cloud Director, getting errors like:

• Operation:
  Ejected Media Virtual Machine <VIRTUAL_MACHINE_NAME>(<UUID>)
  Object:
  <VIRTUAL_MACHINE_NAME>
   
  Details:
  [ <REQUEST_UUID> ] No device was found. You need at least one ISO device to complete this operation.
• 
  Debug Information:
  com.vmware.vcloud.api.presentation.service.BadRequestException: No device was found. You need at least one ISO device to complete this operation. at com.vmware.ssdc.backend.services.impl.VmManagerImpl.ejectMedia(VmManagerImpl.java:2835)

Environment

Cloud Director 10.5.x and 10.6.x

Resolution

Try shutting down the virtual machine and then unmounting the ISO image. If that doesn't work, contact technical support for additional help and reference KB article 411383.
