How can I create an effort task in an Idea?
Environment
Any Clarity supported release.
Resolution
The effort task is meant to be created automatically. Do not create an effort task manually (e.g.: using XOG).
Instead, follow one of these to create the effort task:
- Enable the Allow Effort Task Creation setting under Classic Administration > Project Management > Settings, and add a team member to the Idea.
- Starting Clarity 16.3.1, you can also set the attribute Allow Time Entry for Unstaffed Resources to Yes for that Idea.
