Issue/Introduction

• VRSLCM inventory sync fails on Aria Automation.
• The following error message is observed in the VRSLCM UI :

  • • Error Code: LCMVRAVACONFIG590024
      VMware Aria Automation hostname is not valid or unable to run the product specific commands via SSH on the host. Check if VMware Aria Automation is up and running.

• The following error message is observed in the VRSLCM /var/log/vrlcm/vmware_vrlcm.log

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.x

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.x

Cause

This error can occur if the sfcbd service on the Aria Automation appliance is not running, even if systemctl status vami-sfcb.service indicates that it is.

Resolution

 

• Verify sfcbd Service Status:

  • Execute the following command on the Aria Automation appliance:
    • vamicli version --appliance
  • If the command fails with an "Internal error" message, it indicates that sfcbd is not functioning correctly.

• Restart sfcbd Service:

  • Execute the following command on the VRA appliance:
    • systemctl restart vami-sfcb.service

• Retry Inventory Sync:

  • Once the sfcbd service has been restarted, re-initiate the VRSLCM inventory sync.
