Process Logs Messages Missing after Upgrade to 16.3.0

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to 16.3.0, process log entries are not available in Administration - Processes - Initiated Processes - Messages . The <gel:log> entries for DEBUG, INFO, WARNING, or ERROR level messages are not being recorded within the processes in UI and not writing the messages to the BPM_ERRORS table.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Connect to a 16.3.0 system with Process Engine Persistence Logging set to INFO 
2. Create a basic GEL process with a <gel:log level="INFO">Connection Status Test</gel:log> entry
3. Run the process, once it completes, click on the Process Messages icon

Expected Results: Once the process completes, the message to be available in Process logs in UI and BPM_ERRORS table

Actual Results: Once the process completes, there is no other message in Process Messages aside from "Custom Script has completed". No entry added in BPM_ERRORS log. Instead this message is written to the bg-ca.log:

Resolution

DE156233 fixed in 16.3.1 and backported to 16.3.0 patch 1 

• In Broadcom SaaS Non Prod - this will be fixed during December Monthly Maintenance
• In Broadcom SaaS Prod this will be fixed together with Production upgrade to 16.3.0 as per SAAS Upgrade Schedule
