Issue/Introduction

  • On a virtual machine with a virtual NVDIMM Device running Microsoft Windows Server 2025, the virtual NVDIMM Device will not be recognized by Windows.

  • The device may show as a problem device in Device Manager.

Resolution

Microsoft has confirmed this is a known issue with Windows Server 2025.
