Verify File Integrity of the vCenter Installer Download Using a Checksum on Windows.

This method can be used for other VCF downloads such as ESXi, NSX, etc.

Resolution

1. Note the checksum provided on the download page.
2. Run the Windows certutil to generate a checksum of the file you have downloaded.
   C:\> certutil -hashfile VMware-VCSA-all-8.0.3-24022515.iso MD5
3. Compare the published checksum to the checksum of the local file. If the checksums match, then the downloaded file is valid.
