Issue/Introduction

  • Beginning June 28th 2024, when user tries to request a terraform template with the default docker base image, the create is stuck in progress status and eventually fails with an 'Internal Server Error', as in the below screenshots:

Environment

Aria Automation 8.x

Cause

The default docker base image used for terraform configuration, namely projects.registry.vmware.com/vra/terraform:latest won't be available starting from June 28th, as website projects.registry.vmware.com will be shutdown on June 28th.

Resolution

The docker base image is migrated to a new location, which is at projects.packages.broadcom.com/vra/terraform:latest

To Workaround:

  1. Go to Assembler -> Infrastructure -> Integrations, which shows the list of integrations, find the Terraform Runtime type integration, open it
  2. Check the value of Image filed under Runtime Container Settings section, if the value is projects.registry.vmware.com/vra/terraform:latest, it needs to be changed to projects.packages.broadcom.com/vra/terraform:latest. If the value is not projects.registry.vmware.com/vra/terraform:latest then no change is required.

Additional Information

It is recommended any customer using terraform configuration feature to check the image being used by June 28th.
