Error: "The VMware Cloud Director entity (com.vmware.vcloud.entity.catalogitem ....) does not exist" when deleting a vApp template in Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• Cannot delete vApp template and getting error:
  
  The VMware Cloud Director entity (com.vmware.vcloud.entity.catalogitem:<ENTITY_ID>) does not exist.

• From the Tenant portal, Content Hub > vApp Templates View, the vApp templates presenting the issue are not associated to an Catalog and in unresolved status.
• You are unable to delete the Organisation VDC(Org VDC) due to the failed vAPP template which exists in the catalogue.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This issue is caused by stale entries in the Cloud Director database due to failed vApp Template creation.

Resolution
