Deprecation Announcement of NSX-T ALB Policy API and UI

Issue/Introduction

This KB provides information regarding the deprecation of some configuration features in VMware NSX-T Data Center, which provides integration with VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi). 
 

Deprecated Features 

With this announcement, the following features in NSX-T Data Center are being deprecated and are planned to be removed at a future date. Customers using these features should migrate to a recommended integration option. 

• NSX-T Policy APIs related to NSX Advanced Load Balancer should no longer be used. 
   
  Recommendation: Consume Avi API directly. 

• NSX Manager UI for configuring load balancing features in NSX Advanced Load Balancer should no longer be used. 
   
  Recommendation: Use the Avi UI directly. 
   

The following features in NSX Manager will continue to be supported: 

• Installation of Avi Controller via NSX Manager UI and NSX-T Policy APIs 

• Cross-launch of Avi UI from NSX Manager
