Provide information and how to perform an unattended installation of the Windows sensor

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 3.8.x and Higher
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Download the Windows sensor Kit.
2. Obtain your Company Registration Code
3. From an elevated command prompt, run:

msiexec /q /i C:\Users\UserFolderName\Desktop\installer_vista_win7_win8-32-3.3.0.953.msi /L*v log.txt COMPANY_CODE=XYZ

• For a full list of supported parameters reference: Windows Sensor Supported Commands
• Unattended installations require the use of '/quiet' or '/qn' and the 'COMPANY_CODE' parameters.
• If 'COMPANY_CODE' is not used, and '/quiet' or '/qn' is specified. The installation will fail with no visible feedback.
• If '/quiet' or '/qn' is not used, the user will be presented with a GUI asking for the company code, even if the 'COMPANY_CODE' parameter is used.
