Issue/Introduction
- Disable the Notifier for a specific Policy or a specific Notifier.
- Create a Custom Rule that blocks files but does not show a Notifier to the user.
- Create a Custom Rule that blocks writes but does not show a Notifier to the user.
Environment
- App Control Console: All Supported Versions
- App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
Resolution
Per Policy:
- Log in to the Console and navigate to: Rules > Policies > relevant Policy.
- Review the Notifier settings in the relevant tab(s):
- Advanced: Default Notifiers for Custom Rules (Ex: Block Unapproved Scripts, Block Banned File Hashes, etc)
- Device Control Settings: Default Notifiers when using Device Control (Block writes to unapproved removable devices, etc)
- Change the relevant Notifier(s) to <none>
- Click Save.
Per Notifier:
- Log in to the Console and navigate to: Rules > Notifiers > relevant Notifier.
- To disable the Notifier, change the timeout value to -1 (never display).
- Click Save.
Per Custom Rule
- Log in to the Console and navigate to Rules > Software Rules > relevant Custom Rule
- Uncheck > Use Policy Specific Notifier
- Custom Notifier dropdown > choose <none>
- Save the changes.
