Instructions to specify a SQL Server instance name with a non-default port

Environment

• App Control: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft SQL Server

Resolution

During Step 8 of the server installation, enter the Database address in the format:

SQLSERVERNAME\SQLINSTANCENAME,PORT

For example:

CBSQL01\MSSQLSERVER,1234

Additional Information

Changing the SQL port post-installation is not supported. To change the port, uninstall and then re-install the App Control application.
