Issue/Introduction

When trying to view the session logs on one PAM appliance in the cluster, the following error occurs and no logs are displayed.

Error: PAM-CMN-0020: Error occurred while trying to complete request. (76)

Environment

Privileged Access Manager, 4.1.0-4.1.5

Cause

When the Session Logs page is loaded, a mysql query is called in the backend to collect all logs for that particular appliance. If the session logs for a particular appliance contain too much data, then the mysql query will consume too much memory and fail to complete.

Resolution

The memory limit has been increased in fix DE570601, which is included in the 4.1.6 and 4.2.0 releases. As a workaround, go to Configuration > Logs > Manual Log Purge and clear older session logs to clear up data.
