Endpoint Agents are one of the core components for Data Loss Prevention.
Resolution
VERSION DISCLAIMER: Please note that the following instructions are version agnostic, and can generally be used on any currently supported version. As such, you will find several variables denoted such as "<DLPversion>" to indicate where a version number "should" be used. You will need to replace these variables with the appropriate version that you are attempting to use. Below are a few examples of such translations...
<DLPversion> = 15.8, 16.0, 16.0.1 or 16.0.2 <DLPfullversion> = 16.0.10000.60631 <ORACLEversion> = 193000 or 19.3.0.0 <JREversion> = jdk8u322-b06 or 8u322b06
Uninstall the current DLP Agent: ***using the original package the agent was installed with 1. Unzip the file on the workstations desktop.
2. Open the newly extracted dir:
3. Right click on the "AgentInstall-x64_<DLPversion>.msi" and select "Uninstall":
4. When prompted with "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product?" Select "Yes":
5. The uninstall will begin.
6. The screen will disappear indicating the uninstall process is complete, you can confirm this by opening "services.msc" from the command line.
** confirm the EDPA service is no longer present in the services list
