Issue/Introduction

Had made changes to an existing entity which requires the deletion of the corresponding table and then re-implement it.
When they try to delete the table, receive "protection violation backout" error.
Unable to determine which objects are preventing the delete.  How to determine the objects from object ids?

Environment

Gen 8.6 Workstation Toolset, Encyclopedia.

Cause

Subset scoping problem.

Resolution

Scope on the Data Record(s) being deleted in Delete/Default and also the related Entity for the Data Record in Modify/Default.
Scope the subset 'Type' as Design (not Unit Test or System Test).

Also, if the Data Record in question has relationships to other Data Records, also scope those Data Records in Delete/Default.

Regarding reviewing the objects mentioned in the protection violation report, they would need to reviewed within Walkency.

For both the CSE and HE, need to know the model name and object names involved or the object ids involved.
