snmpcollector probe device certification request process

Issue/Introduction
- Please see the file called 'SNMPCOLLECTOR Device Cert.zip' inside in KB file attachments.
- Inside, you will find a text file with instructions on how to collect all the information UIM Support will need to create the certification request.
- Please work through the instructions and provide the information requested in the zip file.
Environment
- This will generally require the latest versions of UIM and SNMPCOLLECTOR
Resolution
IMPORTANT: Please create a separate case for each device you would like certified.
In each case, support will require at least the three following items to create a device certification request:
1. CUSTOMER DETAILS
UIM Support will need customer details like contact information, device model, etc. Please, fill out the 'Information_Needed.txt' file in the zip.
2. SAPWALK UTILITY OUTPUT
Open the SAPWALK UTILITY folder to run the utility. There will be a version for Windows (zip file), Solaris, and Linux 32 and 64-bit.
Check out the readme file for instructions on how to run the utility.
Please start the walk at the 1.3.6.1 OID value to ensure that all required information is gathered.

3. MetricsToMonitor spreadsheet filled out
Open the MetricsToMonitor.xlsx file attached to this document and fill out the corresponding fields.
This includes device-specific information like OIDs, Object Name, etc.
Please note that UIM metrics must be numbers (integers, percentages, real numbers, etc). Text/string values cannot be collected and stored by UIM probes as metrics.
Once you have the above information/files prepared, attach them to your Support Ticket. The UIM Support Device Certification team will review this and let you know if any additional information
is required.
Note: For custom calculated/derived metrics, customers must provide the formula/expression and list all metrics/OIDs involved in the calculation.
