How to configure the Xtraction connections in a fresh instalaltion

Issue/Introduction

After successfully installing the Xtraction, how to configure the connections between Data Model and Service Desk MDB ?

Environment

Xtraction 17.1

Resolution

1. Run as Administrator, the C:\Program Files (x86)\Xtraction Software\Xtraction\Tools\DataModelEditor.exe, and go to Tools/create the Connection String Editor and create the conections to the MDB database:

2. Make a backup of original C:\Program Files (x86)\Xtraction Software\Xtraction\Data\Configuration\datamodel.dat and save the changes in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Xtraction Software\Xtraction\Data\Configuration\datamodel.dat

3.Now open the Xtraction UI http://localhost/Xtraction/Flash/Default.aspx and reload the new datamodel:

4. Now, open the C:\Program Files (x86)\Xtraction Software\Xtraction\Tools\XtractionSettingsCheck.exe and check the connections. Click in Sites/Default Web Site/Xtraction and click the 'Run' icon:
