Issue/Introduction

Does java proxy ECI runtime uses eci_extend_mode paramater in the connection between java proxy on application server to connect to CTG/CICS on z/OS. if used, what is the value, can the value be changed?

Resolution

The Gen java runtimes does use an ECI_NO_EXTEND in the ECI Request.  But, there isn't a way for this to be changed.
