Issue/Introduction

1.)    Is there any product working with Sharepoint other than "Agent for Sharepoint" which is in SiteMinder option? 
2.)    What authentication method should be used in case of using "Agent for Sharepoint"?

Resolution

1.)  You can protect the SharePoint Server with the CA Access Gateway, however to “integrate” with the SharePoint Authentication/Authorization, the customer would need to “craft” their own “Claims Provider”. The CA Agent for SharePoint provides the full integration with SharePoint. 

2.) The Agent for SharePoint integrates with SharePoint via Claims Authentication, however it does not matter to the Agent for SharePoint what SiteMinder Authentication Scheme is used to gather the User’s SiteMinder Credentials and Authenticate the SiteMinder User. As long as the request contains a valid SMSESSION/SPSESSION cookie, then the Agent for SharePoint can assert the User’s Claims for Authentication/Authorization in SharePoint via the configured Claims Authentication.
