Issue/Introduction

How the Data-driven matching will happen when Excel or CSV file has more columns than what the request data has in a transaction.

Can Data Driven .xlsx file values be used in VSI response without a field value to match on in the request?

Cause

N/A

Environment

All supported DevTest releases.

Resolution

For example, you have 4 Request data arguments and you have 6 columns in Excel file. The request matching is going to happen on all the Request data arguments and the corresponding 2 columns which were not mapped with Request data but these can be used in your VSI response.

Note:
Excel file can have as many columns as it can but all the Request Data Arguments in a transaction need to be mapped to the Excel data. For example, if a transaction has 5 Request Data Arguments then all the arguments need to be mapped to the Excel Data. Mapping 1/2/3/4 will return No Match.
