In the MSP New Driver, Work Hours change in the Timescale for Resources with Calendar shifts not Equal to 8 hour per day

In the Microsoft Project (MSP) new driver, work hours hours change in the Timescale in a round trip save for a resource if their calendar shifts are not set to 8 hours per day. 

Steps to Reproduce: 
1. Create a new resource in PPM 
2. Update the resource's shifts to make their availability 7.5 hours: 
a. Go to Home->Resources, click on the resource created and then click on the Calendar tab 
b. Select the check box next to Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, and Fri 
c. Click the 'Set Shifts' button 
d. Make Shift 1: 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM and Shift 2 01:00 PM - 04:30 PM and click 'Save and Return' 
3. Create a project in PPM 
4. Add the resource created in step 1 to the Team 
5. From the Task or Properties tab, select ‘Open in Scheduler’ -> ‘Microsoft Project [Read-Write]’ to open the project in MSP 
6. Go to the Task Usage view (View used is monthly) 
7. Create 1 new task 
8. Assign the resource to the task with the following hours: 
Assign 80 hours of work for the resource for February, March, and April 
9. Save the project back to PPM 
10. Open the project from PPM to MSP and navigate back to the Task Usage View 

Expected Results: Work in the Timescale remains the same as before saving back to PPM 
Actual Results: Some of the Work has changed. In this example: The Work hours are wrong for the resource in March. The hours have changed to 79.98 instead of 80 hours 


This issue is caused by DE34775


This issue applies to the MSP New Driver with 15.1 and higher


This issue is fixed as of CA PPM 15.4
