Error "Access is Denied" running scheduled reports when permissions are missing

Issue/Introduction

You are unable to run a scheduled Out of the Box (OOB) Advanced Reporting report in Clarity. Custom reports may not have this issue. You are able to run the report immediately. You have a few CSK roles assigned. Which Clarity right is required in order to schedule the report? 

Error from Advanced Reporting:

Access Denied: You do not have permission to view this page. Please contact your system administrator or log in as a user with permission.

Excerpt of error from the log:

org.springframework.security.access.AccessDeniedException: Access is denied

Steps to reproduce:

1. In Advanced Reporting, right-click on the link to an impacted report and select Schedule
2. Click the 'Create Schedule' button
3. Select the radio button next to 'On Specific Date' and select your date
4. Click Save

Cause

You are missing the required access to run out-of-the-box scheduled reports.

Resolution

1. Grant the following access rights to your impacted user:
   • Advanced Reporting - Navigate
   • Advanced Reporting – Report Create
2. Run the Create and Update Jaspersoft Users job

If you already have the Advanced Reporting - Navigate rights in Clarity: grant your user ROLE_REPORT_DESIGNER or higher permissions

1. Go to Home->Advanced Reporting
2. From the Advanced Reporting menu select Manage->Roles
3. Click on the link for the role ROLE_REPORT_DESIGNER and click Edit
4. Move the user(s) from Users Available to Users Assigned
5. Click Save

Advanced Reporting - Navigate only gives access to the Advanced Reporting tab, you must provide other rights for you to be able to run the reports.
