Issue/Introduction

Description:

You want to want to be notified when a JOB completes successfully or is forced completed. You are finding that the NOTIFY JOBEND will fire when the JOB fails, but it will not fire when the JOB is force completed. How should this be handled?

Solution:

If you want to get notification when the JOB is completed successfully, including the condition of force completed, NOTIFY PNODE(COMPLETE) is the preferred way. A NOTIFY JOBEND will fire when the JOB finishes (including failure and success), but it will not fire when the JOB is forced completed after the failure.

Note: To view a table of valid PNODE fields, see the Operator's Guide.
