Issue/Introduction

Description:

When installing the dialogic environment in CA AP release R11.3, I receive the following message I attempt to code my path statement:

'The size of the environment variable (Path) on this system will exceed the maximum length allowed by the operating system and the setup cannot proceed.

You must reduce the size of the environment variable (Path) by -72 characters and run the setup again. The setup will now abort'

Solution:

You must either allow the installation program to reduce the size of the path statement or you must exit the setup and reduce it manually before you can continue with the installation.

Note: <svName> is a variable that contains the number of characters that must be removed from the environment variable (Path).

It is recommended to copy the path statement to a Microsoft Notepad file, being sure to save; and then place a temporary generic path statement in its place that is shorter.

Once the dialogic install is completed, open your saved Microsoft Notepad file that contains the path statement to be used and manually add the dialogic variables to the statement. Once complete, copy the statement back into the system."
