Install Universal Job Management Agent 11.2 on AIX

Issue/Introduction

When trying to install UUJMA 11.2 on AIX,

SMX000007 Script or command "ujma_prestart" failed with exit code 1.
Reason: The script or command encountered a problem.
Action: Find further details in the installation log file.

Environment

UUJMA

Cause

The environment variable TMOUT and TIMEOUT is set on that machine; the installation is not setting this variable and also not sourcing /etc/profile.
Running ./setup on AIX quit abruptly, due to the fact that the environment variable "readonly TMOUT=900" is set

Resolution

The following entry in the /etc/profile needs to be changed:

 	TMOUT=900 	
 	TIMEOUT=900 	
 	readonly TMOUT TIMEOUT 	
 	export TMOUT TIMEOUT 

 

So, to get the install to work, Comment out the readonly line

 	TMOUT=900 	
 	TIMEOUT=900 	
 	#readonly TMOUT TIMEOUT 	
 	export TMOUT TIMEOUT 	
 	Run the setup again.
