Issue/Introduction

Following are the expected behavior:

  1. The AUTOPING command, when executed from a prompt within an Autosys client, issues a CONTROL STATUS AFM to the Tandem Agent, to which the Agent replies with RESPONSE STATUS message. However, an AUTOPING cannot be submitted as a Job to Tandem Agent by specifying it within an AFM message (for example, Command="AUTOPING" would probably result in State Suberror).

  2. If the job is running on a machine that has Autosys client then AUTOPING command can run as a job.

  3. If the AUTOPING command itself is not implemented for a specific platform, then you cannot run it as a job.
