Issue/Introduction

Yes, it is possible to configure the DSM Explorer to report to a specific server during installation.

  • Drill down to the DSM Explorer Software package in the DSM Software Package Library.

  • Drill down to the Procedures section, right-click the 'Install' procedure and select 'New Based On'.

  • Give a desired name to the procedure. In this example, I want the DSM Explorer to report to a DSM Manager named 'XYZ' and have given it a name 'Install DSM Explorer - XYZ'.

  • Click on the 'Embedded File' tab and click on the 'Properties' sub-tab.

  • Select the ADMINCONSOLE_MANAGER parameter and click on 'Remove'.

  • The ADMINCONSOLE_MANAGER parameter will be listed under the Property Field. Change the value to 'XYZ' (the name of the DSM Manager in this example). Click on Add to list.

  • The parameter is added to the properties list. Click 'OK'.

  • The procedure will now be listed under the Procedures section. Deploying this procedure will configure the DSM Explorer to report to the DSM Manager 'XYZ' during the installation.
