Unable to install CA Embedded Entitlements Manger (EEM) r12 on Windows 2012 server operating system

Issue/Introduction

Description:

CA Service Desk Manager r12.7 CA SDM provides Embedded Entitlements Manger (EEM) r12.

When attempting to install EEM r12 on a Windows 2012 server, the install fails and the following error is received:

Solution:

The error received as part of the EEM r12 install process is a result of EEM r12 not being certified/supported on Windows 2012.

As of right now, there is no ETA as to when EEM r12 will be certified/supported on Windows 2012.

If you wish to use EEM r12 with CA Service Desk Manager r12.7 CA SDM, another Windows Operating System (i.e. Windows 2008) will have to be used for the EEM install.
