Issue/Introduction

Description:

Attempting to export a process (or processes) from the library does not give a download option from Internet Explorer

Solution:

In ITPAM you can right click on any items in the library and select export to save the items as xml and then move to another environment or share with technical support, etc. Most browsers have file download settings in security so if these file download settings are not enabled, it can cause issues with this export function.

For example, in Internet Explorer if the download settings are not set, you will see a blank browser screen, then that screen will go away and you will be back in the library with no prompt to save the xml. To correct this in Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options and to security. Make sure that for the zone you are in when accessing ITPAM that "Automatic Prompting for File Downloads" and "File Download" are both enabled.

Once you have done this, close the browser and log back into ITPAM and try the export again.
