Issue/Introduction

Description:

After installing the ITCM agent 12.5 SP1 on a computer, caf does not start.

The following error occurs:

Faulting application CAF.exe, version 12.5.1000.767, faulting module msvcr100.dll, version 10.0.40219.1, fault address 0x00011891.

Solution:

The most likely cause for this problem to occur is that CAM is not present on the computer.

Probably a previous installation left traces of an older CAM installation (folders, environment variables, registry entries, etc.), preventing the new version of CAM being installed.

Normally, uninstalling the agent and installing it again solves the problem.

If this is not the case with your installation, please open a support issue.
