Issue/Introduction

Description:

Problem

• Create an Enrollment code for a Windows Client
  
  
• Download and install on the Windows Client
  
  
• Click Connect
  
  
• The Message "You are not assigned to run this channel" is displayed
  
  
• In the Client Config there is no channel defined

Environment

• CA Mobile Device Manager 13Q2
  
  
• Windows client

Cause

• A channel is a requirement for the Windows Client.
  
  
• It must be created before and defined in the enrollment code

Solution:

• create the channel in the Channel Administrator
  
  
  • Start - Programs - Afaria - CA MDM Channel Administrator
    
    
• Once created click the publish button
  
  
• Now create the enrolment code and on the General tab click setup next to channel
  
  
• Select the channel you created
  
  
• Save Enrollment Code and download the client
  
  
• Install and note that the Channel is now defined
  
  
• Client will run without any issue
