Issue/Introduction

Description:

The Service Desk Manger 12.7 CA SDM installer for "CA Business Intelligence Installation", started via AutoPlay, does not finish successfully.

The error message "Installer UI Mode Error" "Installer User Interface Mode is Not Supported" is displayed. Installation is not possible.

Solution:

  1. Open Service Desk Manager r12.7 CA SDM DVD2 with Windows explorer.

  2. Right click the setup.exe

  3. Click on "Troubleshoot compatibility"

  4. Select "Try recommended settings"

  5. Click "Test the program"

Now you can run the installer and install CABI 3.3 SP3. After that CABI 3.31 SP4 or 5, and finally CABI 3.3 SP6 which is needed for Windows 2012, Tomcat 7 and Internet Explorer 10 support.
