You are currently running ENFIMUF or ENFXMUF, and running with a Datacom/AD 14.0 MUF to record event records. Here are two methods you can use to upgrade to Datacom/AD 15.0
If you are a new user and this is the first time you will be running CA ENF with a CA Datacom/AD database, follow Method #2.
Method #1 - Continue to use existing Datacom/AD Version 14.0 MUF environment with new Datacom/AD Version 15.0 executables
The following steps will follow the "Active MUF Upgrade" process as described in the Datacom/AD 15.0 documentation
> Please review the Readme for CA Datacom/AD 15.0 for minimum requirements.
Customize and Submit member AXCUS00 in the CAAXSAMP to create the INSTJCL installation library
Customize and Submit INSTJCL member AXAPFADD to apf-authorize the required Datacom/AD 15.0 libraries
Customize and Submit INSTJCL member AXRIM01 to load Datacom PCCALL module
Customize and Submit INSTJCL member AXCUSACT to create the "Active MUF Upgrade" INSTJCL installation library
Customize and Submit ACT.INSTJCL member AXACTUPG to ASSEMBLE/LINK custom modules to custom libraries.
Note: For the source for DBSIDPR be sure to update CXXNAME= and DSN_XXX= so that these values are the same as those defined for the existing AD 14.0 environment. You can refer to your existing AD 14.0 CUSTOM CUSMAC(DBSIDPR) file for the values.
Note: It is recommended that the Version 14.0 startup options (AXDATIN1 and AXDATIN2) be used. Although the parameters in AXDATIN2 are not typically changed, you can change them as required to optimize MUF execution. Most CA Datacom®/AD sites do not need to modify AXDATIN2.
Whether running with an internal MUF (ENFIMUF) or and external MUF(ENFXMUF) you will be using the AD 15.0 custom CUSLIB and CAAXLOAD libraries, and the AD 14.0 custom database files (eg. CXX, LXX, FXX, PXX).
Shutdown the currently executing ENF task.
Restart the appropriate ENF task
Note: Verify that Datacom SQL PTFs RO90470 and SO00703 are installed prior to starting ENF.
The following steps are optional and can be run now or at a later time.
Customize and Submit ACT.INSTJCL member AXACTALC to allocate BACKUP datasets and add CA Datacom/AD JCLLIB members to the CUSTOM LIBRARIES
Customize and Submit ACT.INSTJCL member AXACTDD1 to BACKUP the 14.0 CXX and the 14.0 DATADICTIONARY (DD) and DATA DEFINITION DIRECTORY (DDD) databases
Method #2 - Build a fresh new Datacom/AD Version 15.0 MUF environment and customize it for ENF's use
The following steps will follow the "Starting Your Product" process as described in the Datacom/AD 15.0 documentation
