Issue/Introduction

FTP of the CA MICS PAX file ends with the following messages

226 File send OK.
EZA1617I 206244864 bytes transferred in 12.630 seconds. Transfer rate 16329.76
EZA1460I Command:
EZA1736I QUIT generated by unexpected end of file
EZA1701I >>> QUIT

 

Does the message "EZA1736I QUIT generated by unexpected end of file" indicate the file transfer was incomplete?

Cause

The EZA1736I messages indicates there was no QUIT statement in the FTP.   As long as there is a 226 message, the transfer was complete. 

Resolution

Add a QUIT statement to the FTP JCL for the next time the job is run.  No further action is required for this transfer.
