Why am I getting an import error upon launching a project to MSP?

Question:

 Upon launching a project to MSP, I am getting the following error:

"The element <ActualWork> in the <Assignment> element with <UID> = 9 has invalid data. The duration of this fixed duration task will change to accommodate the resource assignment"

This error pops up three times before MS Project finishes loading.

What does this mean?

 

Answer:

 

That warning message means that the resource is overallocated and even though the task is a fixed duration task, the duration will change to accommodate the work. You can see this on a standalone MSP as well. It is not part of the Clarity interface.
