UIM Server installation failed

Issue/Introduction

Customer was unable to install UIM 8.3.1 to Windows 2012 R2 using Windows Authentication to connect to the DB (MSSQL 2014).

Concerning errors in the uimserver_ia_install.log:
Nimsoft Robot Watcher installed. StartService failed - The dependency service or group failed to start. (0x42c)

Environment

UIM 8.3.1 or 8.4 versions on Windows Server 2012 R2

Cause

DNS Dependencies

Resolution

Enable the DNS Client service (in Windows Services) to complete the install.

Once this service was activated (set to Automatic Start), the install runs without issue and the NimsoftWatcherService starts up.
