FAQ

Q: Will Broadcom provide an alternative to the Bitnami images for Prometheus and Grafana in the context of VIP AH?
A: Yes, we are going to change our documentation to recommend that customers use the open-source/community versions of these components. we will not be providing images (and we didn't before, just suggested the Bitnami ones).

Q: What is Broadcom's official recommendation for customers who wish to continue using Prometheus and Grafana with VIP AH?
A: If customers would like to use the existing Bitnami images, they will need to purchase a license as indicated in the announcement.

Q: Are there any migration guides or best practices you can share for this transition?
A: We don't plan to provide any documentation on migration. Its up to the customer to learn about the open source versions. We suggest customers set up an observability, the Bitnami images are just one option. they can use whatever observability platform they want.

Q: Can you please confirm that, apart from Prometheus and Grafana, no other Bitnami images are used or required for VIP AH deployments?
A: Yes, no other Bitnami images are referenced, and even these are not required.
