Hitting ENTER again will return further dialog information before the user is returned to the ISPF/PDF PRIMARY OPTION MENU.
The user will not be able to access the 'CA Compress for IMS' ISPF Interface.
This allocation failure for the SFESNAP file is due to the SYSOUT parameter setting in the highlevel.CIMTPARM SHRISPF member:
SYSOUT=*
It implies that when this user first accessed the ISPF Interface that this parameter had not been set to a valid Sysout class for this site.
When a user first accesses the ISPF Interface, the Sysout class as defined in the SYSOUT parameter, is written to the user's ISPF Profile as ISPF variable SFESOCLS.
This variable is then used by the ISPF Interface to allocate the SFESNAP file.
To resolve this allocation error for this user their ISPF variable, SFESOCLS, will need to be corrected through ISPF 7.4 Dialog Test.
They can do this following these steps:
From the 'ISPF/PDF PRIMARY OPTION MENU' select option 7, DIALOG TEST.
Then select option 4, Tables.
On the Dialog, Tables panel, enter the following criteria:
Option ===> 3 (modify)
Table Name . . ISRPROF
By row number . . 1
Hit ENTER and their ISPF Profile Variables will be listed with their current values.
Page down to variable SFESOCLS:
Variable T A Value
SFESOCLS S *
Amend the value to a valid Sysout class for your site:
Variable T A Value
SFESOCLS S A
PF3 (END) to save the changes.
Having corrected the profile variable setting for this user, you should also correct the parameter setting in the SHRISPF CIMTPARM Parmlib member:
SYSOUT=A
This user and any new users should now be able to access the ISPF Interface for 'CA Compress for IMS'.
