Getting Java error while running the Migration Utility

Cause

The Java Exception error is a result of the Kettle variable value not being set at the parent 'Kettle' folder.

Resolution

As part of the upgrade prerequisites documented in the APM 12.9 Implementation guide, Kettle must be installed, and the environment variable for Kettle_Home must be set as follows:

Variable Name = KETTLE_HOME

 

Variable value = Path to the Kettle folder.

***Note: Ensure the path is set to the parent folder that contains the "data-integration" folder, for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Kettle
