Issue/Introduction

The Expert Profile in RC/Migrator provides access to Utility Model Services, Copy Group Services, Import ICL and others. How can it be activated?

1 - Global Profile Variables
2 - RC/Migrator Profile Variables
3 - Global Change Services
4 - Compare Rule Database Services
5 - Compare Automapping Mask Services
6 - Utility Model Services
7 - Copy Group Services
8 - Import ICL
M - Managed Output Maintenance
P - Analysis Profile Services
U - Utility Profile Services

 

Environment

DB2 for Z/OS

Resolution

To activate the Expert Profile, perform the following steps:

• Select "A Product Authorizations" from the Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS Main Menu.
  
  
• Type "E" next to the listing for RC/Migrator to explode the product's options.
  You will see two options:
  
  

• ___ RC/Migrator
  ___   RC/Migrator
  G__   RCM Expert Profile

• Enter the userid in the "To ID" field.
  
  
• Type "G" next to RCM Expert Profile to grant authority and press Enter.

The message on the screen will look like:

___   RCM Expert Profile    G               Authority Granted

Note: If you want that userid to have the Grant Option authority, use the "GW" line command.
