Issue/Introduction

As a part of Broadcom’s ongoing effort to improve the management of its cloud services, there will be changes to the Cloud Management Portal (CMP). The subscription configuration features of CMP are moving to a new console that offers increased flexibility with cloud services. This migration is scheduled to take place between November 14 and 18, 2024.

Resolution

CMP will be rebranded as Subscription Configuration and become part of Enterprise Console (EC). Most of the existing functionalities will remain the same. However, there will be some additional capabilities and minor navigation updates. To navigate to the Subscription Configuration section, simply click the gear icon (on the top bar). In the Subscription Configuration section, you can easily navigate to the familiar CMP features:

  • View and manage subscriptions and environments
  • Configure Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) services
  • Configure Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for DLP services

A few CMP features that will change in the Enterprise Console:

  • If you have multiple accounts, you can switch accounts in the account details window (from the user menu in the top-right corner of the console)
  • User administration will be managed within the common settings section (Gear icon > Common Settings > Administrators and Roles)
  • Re-sending an Administrator invite will no longer be available in the user interface, but is available by contacting Support

Important Dates

November 14-18, 2024
After this window (during which time we will be migrating existing accounts), you can start using CMP capabilities by navigating to Subscription Configuration in Enterprise Console. The welcome emails that are sent when new subscriptions are purchased will link you directly to the Subscription Configuration. Prior welcome emails (sent before this migration window) will continue to link to the original CMP location.

December 1, 2024
You have until this date to continue using CMP in its original location.

December 2, 2024
On this date, CMP will no longer be available and you will be automatically redirected to Enterprise Console. You are advised to update any saved bookmarks accordingly.

Note: Adding and deleting administrators after the November migration window and before December 2:

  • If you add an administrator in CMP, the administrator is automatically added to Enterprise Console.

  • If you delete an administrator in CMP, this administrator can continue to access both CMP and Enterprise Console due to shared privileges.

  • If you add an administrator in Enterprise Console, this administrator automatically has access to CMP due to shared privileges.

  • If you delete an administrator in Enterprise Console, this administrator still has access to CMP until December 1.
