How to change the IP Address for a Robot

Issue/Introduction

The procedure to change the IP address of a robot is outlined in this article.

Environment

Release:  Any UIM Server version
Component: robot - any version

Cause

Sometimes a robot will bind to the wrong IP address on start up or the IP on a server can change.

Resolution

Follow these steps:

1.  On the robot, run the ipconfig command.
2.  Set the robotip key value to the resulting IP address in your robot.cfg file found in the <NMSHOME>\robot directory.3
3.  Restart the Nimbus Watcher Service from the Services app:
