NFA data source is already registered to another Portal host

Issue/Introduction

After reinstalling Performance Management Portal and attempting to add the NFA data source the following error is seen:

"Adding Data Source failed Data source is already registered to another Performance Center".

If DX NetOps the error will be:

"Data source is already registered to another DX NetOps instance."

 

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

All supported DX NetOps Network Flow Analysis releases

Resolution

To add the NFA data source do the following:

• From the NFA console server go to the following URL: http://localhost/ReporterDataSource/ProductSyncWS.asmx

Go to the bottom of page and click UnregisterPerformanceCenter 

Click "Invoke". After clicking invoke you will see a white page, this is normal 

 

 

• Go to a command prompt and run: IISRESET

 

After doing the above steps you should be able to successfully add the NFA data source in the Portal console.
