Issue/Introduction

Currently there are MUSASS and MLID definitions that were done in ACFFDR program(under the system programmers).  The resource that used to do this is gone and  the ACF2 security administrator is taking over defining the MUSASS and MLID records using GSO.  Will there be problems with MUSASS records being defined both ways on the same ACF2 database.  Or do the ones in ACFFDR need to be re-defined under GSO?

Environment

Release:
Component: ACF2MS

Resolution

ACF2 will allow the use of both formats at the same time.  If there are duplicate entries in the GSO MUSASS or MLID records that is a match in the ACFFDR, the GSO record will take precedence.

Here is an example of an ACFFDR entry:

         @MUSASS   CICSCVT,MLID=CICS,CVTNAME=,FASTPTH=YES

and a GSO record insert of a MUSASS:

INSERT MUSASS.MYMUSASS MUSID(MYMUS-) MLID(MYMLID1) CVTNAME(MYMUSCVT)
WORKSP(255) WORKLN(1024) CVTCOM FASTPTH CACHE CACHE#(5)

Note: Be aware that GSO MLID records can only be used in conjunction with GSO MUSASS records, and not with @MUSASS macros in the ACFFDR. GSO MUSASS records can be used in conjunction with either @MLID macros in the ACFFDR or GSO MLID records.
