Changing the default listening ports for XCOM for Windows

Issue/Introduction

The 4 default listening ports for XCOM for Windows are:

1. Port 8044 for non-SSL transfers using IPv4
2. Port 8045 for SSL transfers using IPv4
3. Port 8046 for non-SSL transfers using IPv6
4. Port 8047 for SSL transfers using IPv6

How can those port numbers be changed?

XCOM Data Transport for Windows

Resolution

On Windows the XCOM Listener ports can only be set in the GUI on the Global Parameters tab. After they are entered, they are not written into the xcom.glb file, but are written directly into the registry at location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\XCOM\CommunicationServer.
